6 Days Kidepo Valley & Murchison Falls Safari

Transfer from Kampala to Gulu City

After breakfast, your A&S Safaris driver-guide will meet you and begin the journey to Gulu, the largest city in northern Uganda. As you travel, enjoy the changing landscapes, local villages, and roadside markets that offer a glimpse into everyday life.

Stop for lunch along the way before continuing to Gulu. On arrival, check in to your hotel, relax, and prepare for the next day's drive to Kidepo Valley National Park.

Kidepo Valley National Park

After breakfast, continue your journey north to Kidepo Valley National Park, one of Uganda's most remote and spectacular wildlife destinations, near the borders of South Sudan and Kenya.

Arrive around midday and check in to your lodge overlooking the savannah. Later, head out for an afternoon game drive to look for elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, and other wildlife while enjoying the stunning views of the Morungole Mountains.

Start the day with breakfast before heading out for a morning game drive in Narus Valley, the best wildlife viewing area in Kidepo Valley National Park. Keep an eye out for lions, cheetahs, elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and other wildlife as you explore the open plains.

Return to the lodge for lunch and some time to relax. In the afternoon, visit a Karamojong community to learn about their traditional way of life, cattle-keeping culture, and enjoy a lively cultural dance performance.

Murchison Falls National Park Safari

After breakfast, depart for Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda's largest and oldest national park. Enjoy the scenic drive through rolling hills, farmlands, and vibrant local towns along the way.

Arrive in the evening and check in to your lodge near the Nile River. Unwind, enjoy dinner, and relax as you prepare for the next day's safari adventure.

Game Drive & Boat Cruise

After an early breakfast, head out with your A&S Safaris driver-guide for a morning game drive on the northern bank of Murchison Falls National Park. Look out for elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, leopards, and a variety of other wildlife across the open savannah.

Return to the lodge for lunch before enjoying an afternoon boat cruise to the base of the spectacular Murchison Falls, where the Nile River squeezes through a narrow 7-meter gorge before plunging 43 meters below. For an even closer experience, you can choose an optional guided hike to the top of the falls for breathtaking views.

Ziwa Rhino Tracking

After breakfast, check out and drive to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided rhino tracking experience on foot. Accompanied by an experienced ranger, you'll learn about rhino conservation while observing these magnificent animals in their natural habitat.

After lunch at the sanctuary, continue your journey to Kampala or Entebbe, arriving in the evening. This marks the end of your 6-Day Kidepo Valley and Murchison Falls Safari with A&S Safaris.
